Oklahoma rejects weed legalization

The Associated Press reports that on Tuesday, voters in Oklahoma decided against going any farther and rejected a ballot proposition that would have made it legal for adults 21 and older to use marijuana recreationally.

With the vote, Oklahoma became one of several conservative states whose citizens recently rejected the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Voters in other conservative states, like as Arkansas, North Dakota, and South Dakota, rejected similar measures, despite the fact that Missouri voters in November approved a state constitutional amendment allowing for recreational marijuana use.
